Join watercolorist Ferenc Besze on a painting adventure to Hungary. He will demonstrate the capturing  the very essence of a scene and help you build your confidence by using very quick and simple compositional studies, which are so important when you paint in watercolor.  He will show you how to achieve fresh and vibrant colors by mixing colors right on the paper rather than on the pallete.  Ferenc will explain color composition.  You will get ample individual attention, guidance and help with solutions to particular problem areas.These exciting tour will immerse you in the old world culture of Eastern Europe, as well as provide the opportunity to paint fascinating sites. Ferenc, accompanied by Stella Canfield, will help you interpret what we see by instructing you on the many approaches to painting on location. The presence of other artists increases the joy of this experience and always provides a nurturing and comforting experience that will encourage you to explore your full artistic potential. Both Ferenc and Stella are good-humored and enjoy boundless energy. Every painting will be critiqued during an interactive time of sharing our successes and daily adventures.

Ferenc Besze was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary.  He started drawing and painting in oil at a very young age.  After immigrating to the United Sates in 1989 he met his watercolor teacher and mentor, Marta Szoboszlay and his passionate love affair with watercolor began.  International Artists magazine published his work in its master painters of the world section. Ferenc’ paintings are fresh and spontaneous with a great understanding of light and color.  His rich compositions and translucent, vibrant style immediately draws the viewer’s attention.  Ferenc teaches and gives workshops and demonstrations around the country.  He is treasured for his experience and teaching style He is greatly valued for his ability to excavate his student’s hidden potential. Ferenc Besze’s paintings have won numerous awards, and are in private collections in Europe and the U.S.  He is a signature member of the prestigious Society of Western Artists Club.

Portable Easel, Folding Chair, Umbrella, Foam Board (1/2"x 15x22 or 11x14, your preference), Brushes ( #12 round, #6 round, #4 round, 1 1/2 flat), 140lb Arches cold press paper, Small sketch book, Collapsible water container, Water bottle, Palette knife, Paper towel, Sponge, Eraser, 2B pencil, Water colors: Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Pthalo Blue (or Winsor Blue),
